Body contouring has quickly become one of the most popular aesthetic treatments. With so many options, it’s often difficult for patients to decide which fat reduction technology is best for them.

While many patients have heard of laser liposuction and been bombarded with CoolSculpting ads, truSculpt 3D is a newer technology and great non-invasive option for body contouring.

What Is Trusculpt 3D?

truSculpt 3D is a non-surgical device that uses radiofrequency to heat and destroy fat cells. It is able to sculpt the body, reduce stubborn fat, and tighten loose skin.

Who Can Be Treated With Trusculpt 3D?

The ideal truSculpt 3D candidate is close to his/her target weight and has a BMI of less than 30. These individuals often have pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise.

Because it only heats adipose tissue and the skin and surrounding structures are unaffected, truSculpt 3D is safe for all skin types.

Trusculpt 3D Contraindications

Patients may not be treated with truSculpt 3D if they are pregnant or have any of the following:

  • Cardiac pacemaker or defibrillator
  • benign or malignant tumors in the treatment area
  • Any metal implants in the treatment area

Treatment Process

The truSculpt 3D treatment should only be performed by a trained medical professional that understands your concerns and develops a thorough treatment plan.

During the procedure, the provider will place the truSculpt 3D hand piece on the skin and deliver a series of energy pulses that last a few minutes each. Most patients find the treatment warm, but fairly comfortable.

Treatment time ranges from 15 minutes to one hour per area. Patients often require one-to-two treatments per area spaced four-to-eight weeks apart.

Recovery and Results

truSculpt 3D is a zero-downtime treatment, and patients can return to their usual activities immediately after. Some individuals may experience redness, swelling, and tenderness of the treated area.

It typically takes anywhere between 4 weeks and 3 months to notice truSculpt 3D results.
